Drug-eluting device

Current Progress

Avisi’s thin film technologies have shown to be suitable for sustained release therapeutics in early work funded by the National Science Foundation Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR), Phase II and IIB Projects. This project aims to find an improved solution for patients at risk of vision loss from a variety of factors. The research has so far demonstrated a successful release of dexamethasone over time.

Sustained drug release implants have been found to reduce patient compliance issues with topical eye drops used to treat eye diseases. Avisi is excited to continue pushing the frontier of nanotechnology and drug release for vision protection, creating a truly dropless patient experience.

More information coming soon.
